 Kambo Sticks USA is an offering of Shining Tree Temple created to provide authentic, traditionally crafted Kambo sticks within the United States. Our sticks come directly from a family in the Peruvian Amazon with a longstanding relationship to Kambo, and are sourced with an emphasis on respect, sustainability, and fair exchange. By keeping a small supply here in the U.S., we hope to make these traditional tools more accessible while honoring the people, practices, and living traditions from which they come. 

 Kambo is a traditional Amazonian cleansing practice that works with the secretion of the Giant Green Monkey Tree Frog, known scientifically as Phyllomedusa bicolor. For generations, Indigenous tribes throughout Peru, Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador have worked with this medicine as a powerful physical, emotional, and energetic cleanse intended to restore balance, vitality, clarity, and connection to the body’s natural intelligence. 

Kambo contains a unique combination of naturally occurring bio peptides that have drawn increasing attention for their therapeutic potential and supportive effects on overall wellness. Many people work with kambo to support detoxification, immune function, mental clarity, energetic alignment, and physical well being. While the experience can be intense and purgative, it is often described as deeply cleansing, grounding, and renewing. We work closely with Indigenous families in the Peruvian Amazon and approach this medicine with deep respect for its traditions, origins, and the well being of the frogs and rainforest communities connected to it.
